Should you buy a home virtually in Nova Scotia?

"PACK YOUR BAGS BABY WE ARE MOVING TO NOVA SCOTIA!"
Since the pandemic, Nova Scotia has been on the top of mind for many. Our government along with Dr Strang have done a remarkable job trying to stop the spread. Yes we have had speed bumps along the way, however you can't deny, NS is the place to be.
Several consumers are contemplating buying a home or piece of land here without any conditions or due diligence. I caution you.
Consider 20k for a piece of land, that's cheap right! What if there was no access to that land? What if that land were wetlands? What if the land could not have a septic or it was unable to produce drinking water? So now what.... Yes you guessed it.... you are stuck with a piece of land that is perfect to pitch a tent when you move here.
How about that home you viewed virtually, you never looked at the backyard that was non existent, or maybe the driveway that is 300 ft long. Nova Scotia is a great place to move to.
Heck I even transplanted here from Ottawa 13 years ago. These statements above may elicit caution... I hope it does.
Educate. Educate. Don't just pay attention to the pretty home. Don't just consider a piece of land because of the price. Do your homework.
